Shani is one of the Navagrahas which are the nine primary celestial beings in Hindu astrology. Shani is a Dev and son of Surya Dev (the Hindu Sun God) and his wife Chhaya (Shadow goddess) and hence also known as Chayyaputra. He is the cousin of Yama, the Hindu God of death. It is said that when he opened his eyes as a baby for the very first time, the sun went into an eclipse, which clearly denotes the impact of Shani on astrological charts. Shani is described as having a dark complexion, a beautiful face, his caste is teli (Oil vendors), he is clothed in black; holding a sword, arrows, two daggers , mounted on a Black vulture or a raven and he prays to Kal-bhairav (God of time). Shani is said to be older in age and that is why he is looked upon as an old man. Shani is a shadow planet or “Chhaya- Graha”- that part of a person which is normally not seen.
In the yogic culture, Shiva is not known as a god, but as the Adiyogi or the first yogi – the originator of yoga. He was the one who first put this seed into the human mind. According to the yogic lore, over fifteen thousand years ago, Shiva attained to his full enlightenment and abandoned himself in an intense ecstatic dance upon the Himalayas. कामा शास्त्र के अनुसार स्त्रियों को मुख्यतः निम्न पांच वर्गों में बांटा गया है – शंखिनी, चित्रिणी, हस्तिनी, पुंश्चली व पद्मिनी।
शंखिनी स्वभाव की स्त्रियां अन्य स्त्रियों से थोड़ी लंबी होती हैं। इनमें से कुछ मोटी और कुछ दुर्बल होती हैं।
इनकी नाक मोटी, आंखें अस्थिर और आवाज गंभीर होती है। ये हमेशा अप्रसन्न ही दिखाई देती हैं और बिना कारण ही क्रोध किया करती हैं।
ये पति से रूठी रहती हैं, पति की बात मानना इन्हें गुलामी की तरह लगता है। इनका मन सदैव भोग-विलास में डूबा रहता है।

संस्कृत में निम्नलिखित विशेषताएँ हैं जो उसे अन्य सभी भाषाओं से उत्कृष्ट और विशिष्ट बनाती हैं।
संस्कृत भाषा की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण और लाभदायक व्यवस्था है, अनुस्वार और विसर्ग।
पुल्लिंग के अधिकांश शब्द विसर्गान्त होते हैं —
यथा- राम: बालक: हरि: भानु: आदि। और
नपुंसक लिंग के अधिकांश शब्द अनुस्वारान्त होते हैं—
यथा- जलं वनं फलं पुष्पं आदि।
अब जरा ध्यान से देखें तो पता चलेगा कि विसर्ग का उच्चारण और कपालभाति प्राणायाम दोनों में श्वास को बाहर फेंका जाता है। अर्थात् जितनी बार विसर्ग का उच्चारण करेंगे उतनी बार कपालभाति प्रणायाम अनायास ही हो जाता है। जो लाभ कपालभाति प्रणायाम से होते हैं, वे केवल संस्कृत के विसर्ग उच्चारण से प्राप्त हो जाते हैं।
